Today, Maggie was going completely mental....probably due to the massive amounts of candy corn and other forms of pure sugar she devoured. First of all, she didn't seem remotely surprised or confused when my mom said a goblin came and made her drop a glass pot (she had candy corn too)... then, in the completely silent kitchen, Maggie swears that she suddenly heard a loud bubbling noise coming from the middle of the kitchen table, supposedly "clear as day"... and then abruptly she burst out screaming, "AAAAHHH! LADYBUG! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!" when she saw one outside 30 feet away, blocked safely from her by a glass door....
After the ladybug incident, I asked her what her fears were. I recorded exactly what she said. In no particular order:
1) Old Twizzlers that will break your teeth
2) Barfing in general
3)Packing peanuts
4) Books longer than 20 pages
5) Falling down stairs and breaking her neck
6) Tornadoes
7) Illness/Disease/Germs
8) Fast moving objects, including speeding vehicles
9) Random plastic bags floating in the street
10) Rabid animals
11) Milk
12) Things with more than 4 legs, especially spiders and ladybugs
13) Chemicals, including Windex
14) Vegetables
15) Old chicken/Expired foods and objects
16) Michael Savage (radio talkshow guy)
17) Mrs. Kraus (her old English teacher)
18) Stalkers, especially the people who sit at her lunch table and creepy freshmen
19) Things that slither
20) People who yell a lot
21) Getting shot- but if she had a choice, she would prefer it to be in the head/face
22) Chopped off fingers
23) Being stabbed
24) People with beards
25) People chucking things/Sharp objects/All forms of weaponry
26) Mentally disturbed people, especially Molly
27) Oddly-placed veins in people's faces
