PHS Poms "Volunteer" Work

We sat in what appeared to be the Teacher's Lounge, waiting to find out exactly what we were supposed to do. Three other officials accompanied us, but the room was awkwardly silent. A very proper lady who appeared to be in charge began counting out ribbons, so I decided to follow suit rather than break that piercing code of silence. You could hear a pin drop, the room uncomfortably still. I tentatively looked around, then picked up a package of ribbons. Meanwhile, the lady continued counting hers out with machine-like speed and precision, apparently very experienced with what she was doing and quite the dynamo.

"Flip, I need to keep up with her!"

Quickly I attempted to open the package, but--

"Wtf? What kind of packaging IS this?!"

BWAM! And the package exploded, twenty-four poms ribbons flying all over the room. Smooth.
