Today I went to downtown Chicago. Things that occurred:
- I realized that it's exactly like New York, except less cool, uglier, and with a worse climate :)
- I felt like I was going to get shot the entire time...
- I probably can't ever live there because of that last bullet :)
- There were hobos everywhere, but... these were sad hobos and I couldn't help them D:
- There are a lot of crazy people. Not like "cool, crazy genius van Gogh" crazy, though, but more like, "OH MY SWEET PEACHES THIS DUDE IS GOING TO KILL ME" crazy...
- I went to the Art Institute! It was snazzy and had groovy famous stuff (like "American Gothic"), but it's amazing how many really serious, completely pretentious people are mulling around there :D
- Due to the previous bullet, I have officially discovered how not-serious of a person I am :D Honestly, there was one point where I reached the utmost degree of slap-happy ridiculousness that I nearly broke the piercing silence with an uncontrollable laugh attack :D
- Today was my parents' 24th wedding anniversary. So, happy anniversary, them :)
- I learned (well, not really learned...I kind of already knew this, haha) that my father is a complete idiot. And I say that with full confidence, thank you :D
- Um...our waiter was nice? lol
Overall.... I don't think I like Chicago. This also makes me very unexcited for our upcoming New York trip, because I can see the similarities forming in my mind already.
Except for Broadway. Broadway will be fabulous :)
Aah! I have ranted! My apologies! I love you! Farewell!
