So last night (and Thursday night, as well) I was forced to go watch my sister's dance recital. Normally, I would just find some way to zone out and deal with it, but.... there were, I don't know, 35 full-length dances with people who can't dance?
I wanted to sob.
34 dances in, it was thankfully the grand finale number. Lights dimmed, and about 20 girls quickly scampered onto the stage and got into their starting poses. The audience waited on the edges of their seats in anticipation (err, probably because they were excited they were getting out of there, um...)! But then...nothing happened. And nothing continued to happen, the girls all stuck up there in their positions, no music playing, lights still down, audience caught in an everlasting awkward silence. Many gay babies were born.
So finally, we had had enough of this rumpus! Although the family seated in front of us now despises us with a firey passion, we decided to yell out through the silence, "GO PAM!!!! :D" People everywhere started chuckling, and after that, chaos ensued. The entire room erupted with different hoots and hollers and various "We love you, Annie!!!"s and "WOOO!!! GO, MARTHA!!!!"s (although I'm sure no one in this day and age was named Martha), until finally personnel came out on the stage.
...I feel proud to have been the root of anarchy :D
Well, there's my tale. Have a wonderful day, dear readers! :D
