After watching some random television programs on the paranormal, our father admitted to us an interesting story. He said that, lately and for a while now, he frequently will hear three distinct knocks on his bedroom door in the middle of the night. He would go check to see who it was, but nobody would be there. It couldn't ever have been any of the rest of us, because at that point in the night, we would have all been sound asleep. And even if we weren't, we wouldn't have been able to dart away quickly enough without him seeing, especially without making any noise. Plus, oddly, whenever the knocks are heard, Father claims that no feet are visible under the door.

Being a skeptic, I tried to brush this off. But also being ridiculously paranoid, I became slightly more concerned when the Sisterpants responded to this tale with:

"OMG! That happens to me, too! :O"

...I'm beginning to doubt that Monty found some invisible stilts. So, at this point, I have concluded that the only conclusive conclusion that can be concluded is one conclusion of the various conclusions I have concluded:

1) We're all trapped in the funny farm.
2) We have a ghostie (even though we are our home's first set of inhabitants).
3) There is a shy hoboman secretly living in our house. He comes out at night looking for companionship, so he decides to go knock on one of our doors. But then at the last second after knocking, he loses confidence in himself and scampers away timidly, left only to try again the next night.

I hope our hoboman will soon find solace. (And may you all have a miraculously jolly day! :D)
